What does it cost to set up a company?
The amount of the costs depends on the legal form. The GbR is the cheapest. Costs of 200 to 300 EUR are incurred. The costs for founding a GmbH or UG (haftungsbeschränkt) range between EUR 500 and EUR 1,200. The fact that the costs for corporations are higher is due to the fact that the articles of association must be notarized and the company must be entered in the commercial register. All these steps generate costs, both for the notary and the registry court.
Can I incorporate online?
Yes, you can! In the field of digitalization, we are convinced. For this reason, we offer the complete online formation of a GmbH, a UG (haftungsbeschränkt) or a GbR. With the implementation of the Digitalization Directive (EU Directive 2019/1151), online formation of corporations has been possible in Germany since 01.08.2022. The articles of association for the formation of a GmbH or a UG (haftungsbeschränkt) must be notarized by a notary. Until summer 2022, founders had to appear before a notary for this purpose. This can now also be done completely online via video. In this way, we represent clients throughout Germany and Europe when founding their company!
